Description

This is digital art I made of what an 1940s to 1950s and 1960s Wonder Woman film series cast could have been, which never happened (DC were frankly just mainly focused on Superman in the 1940s and 1950s, and Batman in the 1960s (there was also Batman movie serials in the '40s), and left Wonder Woman with nothing outside of the comics until the 1970s on TV) Wonder Woman could have and should have had films before the 1970s, faithful to the original Wonder Woman comic books by creators William Moulton Marston and Harry Peter.

US Army Intelligence Service/Air Force Pilot Captain, promoted to the rank of Major, and became Lieutenant Colonel, Steve Trevor (Kirk Douglas), Wonder Woman/US Army Air Force nurse/intelligence officer Diana Prince (Jane Russell), Etta Candy (Maxine Gates), Queen Hippolyta (Claudette Colbert). Directed by Lansing C. Holden (director of She (1935)) in the 1940s, with stop motion Greek mythological monsters by Willis O'Brien, directed by Nathan H. Juran (director of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958)) in the 1950s, with stop motion Greek mythological monsters by Ray Harryhausen, directed by Don Chaffey (director of Jason and the Argonauts (1963)) in the 1960s, with stop motion Greek mythological monsters by Ray Harryhausen.

Jane Russell was an actress in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, would have been the perfect actress for Wonder Woman in her time. She not only looked like she stepped out of the classic Marston/Peters Wonder Woman comics, she was athletic, she road horses, she knew how to shoot bow and arrows, she loved animals, etc. just like Wonder Woman. Jane Russell would have played Wonder Woman. She pushed the boundaries and was quit daring in her films.

Wonder Woman originally had a secret identity as an American Army Nurse named Diana Prince. Wonder Woman represented the women who served as Army Nurses to fallen military men during World War II. She wanted to be close to Steve Trevor, and as a nurse healing the wounded, she is also actively spreading the Amazon ways of love and peace to the world of men.

American Army Intelligence Service/Air Force pilot Steve Trevor was created as Wonder Woman's love interest, as he should be on film. Kirk Douglas could have humanized the Steve Trevor comic book character, and he helps humanize Wonder Woman. Plus he looked like she stepped out of the classic Marston/Peters Wonder Woman comics into three-dimensions.

Etta Candy was created as Wonder Woman's heavyset, short, fun, loyal, humorous, bold, sassy, wisecracking friend providing some comic relief, and comedian Maxine Gates would certainly have achieve that.

Queen Hippolyta is Wonder Woman's mother, she originally had black hair in the Golden Age. Claudette Colbert looked just like the character when Claudette Colbert played Empress Poppaea in The Sign of the Cross (1932). She pushed the boundaries and was quit daring in her films as well.
